These
proceedings shall be read in continuation of the earlier proceedings of the
Commission dated 20.5.2013. In response, the Sr. Superintendent, District
Jail, Azamgarh, U.P., vide his communication dated 16.9.2013, has submitted
the compliance report. Perusal of the same reveals that an amount of
Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only), as recommended by the Commission, has
been paid on 14.9.2013 to Smt. Suman, wife of the deceased Anil Kumar
Upadhayay. The Commission has considered the matter. The amount of interim
relief of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one Lakh Only), as recommended by the
Commission, has been paid to next of kin of the deceased. No further action
is called for. The reports received from the State Authorities are taken on
record and the case is closed. Let a copy of these proceedings be also
transmitted to the I.O., NHRC and to the beneficiary. LINKED WITH MAIN FILE
NO. 1021/24/6/2012-JCD.
