MUHAMMAD AAMIR, the innocent youth who was arrested and jailed on the
false charge of terrorism and was subjected to inhuman treatment in jail
was honoured at a function sponsored by Lenin Raghuvanshi’s
organisation People’s Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR) at
India Habitat Centre, with Jan Mitra Award and given a certificate and a
cheque of Rs. 60,000 as financial assistance by PVCHR’s Executive
Director, Lenin Raghuvanshi who, while greatly praising Aamir for his
fortitude and having no ill will against his punishment for no fault
said that he deserves all praise and help. He said that if we don’t help
people like Aamir, who else we should help? He said that in spite all
sufferings for no fault, he has great courage and optimism and such
people should be helped in all possible ways.
